Instantly and Completely Uninstall  Norton Internet Security 2009

The uninstall process of Norton Internet Security 2009 is a little different from other Norton products as its drive programs locate in the directory C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\NIS (Maybe your system is not installed in drive C, but the last directory name must be system32\drivers\NIS). That’s why it takes so much time to uninstall Norton Internet Security 2009.

 One, boot your PC in safe mode,  Force Uninstall with Perfect Uninstaller, find the driver program in the directory C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\NIS(Pay attention, not navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers which must not be uninstalled)

  • Navigate to the directory C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\NIS, right click the folder “NIS” and select “Force Uninstall” from the right-click menu, Perfect Uninstaller will launch instantly as follows, press “Next” to go.

Two, enter nomal mode, the remains are easy to remove after this.

A. Click Start > All Programs > Norton Internet Security > Uninstall Norton Internet Security, use its own uninstall function.

 

B. Force Uninstall with Perfect Uninstaller.

  • Navigate to the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared, right click the folder “Symantec Shared” and select “Force Uninstall” from the right-click menu, Perfect Uninstaller will launch instantly as follows, press “Next” to go.

           

  • Perfect Uninstaller has found all registries information within this directory, press “Next” to remove.

           

  

  • Navigate to the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec, right click the folder “Symantec” and select “Force Uninstall” from the right-click menu, Perfect Uninstaller will launch instantly as follows, press “Next” to go.

         

  • Perfect Uninstaller has found all registries information within this directory, press “Next” to remove.

          

  •  Navigate to the directory C:\Program Files\ Norton Internet Security, right click the folder “Norton Internet Security” and select “Force Uninstall” from the right-click menu, Perfect Uninstaller will launch instantly as follows, press “Next” to go.

           

  • Perfect Uninstaller has found all the auto-running programs, press “Next” to remove.

           

  •  Second navigate to this directory, remove the other files.

           

  •   Perfect Uninstaller has found all the files and registry information within this directory, press “Next” to remove.

            

  • Navigate to the directory C:\Program Files\NortonInstaller, right click the folder “NortonInstaller” and select “Force Uninstall” from the right-click menu, Perfect Uninstaller will launch instantly as follows, press “Next” to go.

          

  •  Perfect Uninstaller has found all the files and registry information within this directory, press “Next” to remove.

         

  •  All finished, Norton Internet Security 2009 has gone from the program list as well as your PC completely.

           

  •  As Norton may change some web settings, if your web connection is interrupted after above steps, please follow the below picture to restore web settings. Press “Options” on the main interface of Perfect Uninstaller, press “Restore system”, tick two boxes as following picture, and press “OK”. Then please reboot your PC, and your web settings are restored.
